Happy Turkey Day from eHow!

Wednesday, November 26th, 2008

It’s been quite a long week.  We’ve run into a rough patch, but the good news is our development team is on top of it.  We’re pushing ourselves to get rid of most of the hiccups by next week– especially the ones that the community is most concerned about.  We appreciate your continuous support and not to mention your patience.  For updates on fixes and workarounds, check them out here

And… if you haven’t checked out our Twitter page yet, follow us at: http://www.twitter.com/ehow .  You’ll find our special eHow turkey resting on our website logo.  Speaking of turkey, Happy Thanksgiving to each and everyone of you, and if you’re not from the states, well, thanks for being a part of eHow and we wish you a good weekend!

The Big Bug Blog Bonanza

Tuesday, November 25th, 2008

In reading through the forums, it’s apparent that there are a few glitches and issues affecting some of you with the launch of the revamped eHow last Friday. If you’re having an issue, please spell it out for us in this forum thread so that we can be assured we’re aware of all the major open issues.

Our tech team is working nonstop to resolve issues as they come up. We sincerely appreciate your feedback and patience as we complete this upgrade.

UPDATE: Earlier, I asked you to post your bugs here. Now, Rich is centralizing all the bugs in one forum thread: Right here. Rich and I are aware of all the issues laid out below; let’s post about anything else in the forum.

What’s new on eHow?

Friday, November 21st, 2008

Every once in awhile the eHow team will sneak in a small change here or there, but this is one upgrade that won’t go unnoticed.  As soon as you login to your profile, you’ll immediately  note that it’s changed –and for the better!  So, now you’re probably wondering, what else is new on the site?  Why keep guessing, when we can just tell you?  Drum roll please… Here’s the official list of NEW things that have been released on eHow:

  • Activity feed on your profile. This is where you can see what your friends have been up to on eHow.  Many members have been requesting this, and we’ve answered your call. Now you should be able to see when your friends have created new eHow articles.
  • Probably the most talked about feature on the site will be “Groups.”  Now, it’s easy to build your very own micro community on eHow — or you can always join an existing Group that someone else has created.   Groups are communal spots where you can go and connect with other individuals who share your interests.  You can have discussions and share photos and videos with other like-minded folks.  It’s fun and easy — check it out
Our team put together this video to celebrate the launch of the new eHow. Watch for a tour of new features from our product guru Wemmick!
