eHow is creating a buzz, yet AGAIN. Reporter, Claudia Buck of the Sacramento Bee ran a personal finance story on work-at home jobs. She writes that in this current “job-jittery economy” people are looking for ways to make money from home. Unfortunately scam artists are honing in on this trend and enticing people with work-at home opportunities. The internet is ridden with “make money from home” advertisements and the scammers are hard to pick apart from the genuine sites. Buck writes that nearly “999 out of 100 are junk, either scams or dead ends,” but legitimate sites like eHow are allowing people to make anywhere from $5 to $2,000 per month. Buck notes that eHow users like Carol Callahan a stay-at home mom has been making a steady $40 a month by writing in her free time – writing articles like “How to Make Homemade Ant Killer That Actually Works.” Yay Carol! Not only did the Sacramento Bee dig it…but we definitely appreciate the eco-friendly advice in her article.
Last but not least - local ABC News (KGO-San Francisco) TV reporter, Michael Finney will run a segment on eHow.com featuring our General Manager, Greg Boudewijn and eHow writer, Amy Kniss. Amy is an editor and communications specialist and regularly contributes on eHow. She shares her publishing experiences on eHow in the ABC segment. We will post a link to the video segment when it becomes available – so stay tuned!
So you’re probably sitting there thinking…all the news buzz is gravy but how does it relate to me? Well we think it translates into some MAJOR BRAGGING RIGHTS! The next time you’re hanging out with friends and family; let them know you write for eHow. “Yea, I publish on eHow…ya know we’re recognized by the Sac-Bee and ABC News juuust to name a few…”
